BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto Casual Conversation@piefed.social•What's something that massively improved your quality of life?4·2 天前How do you get the motivation to? I’d love to get more fit, especially since I’ve got a kid coming in September and want to be in shape when she comes. I’m not exactly out of shape too bad (not overweight or underweight), but I’d like to be more muscular. At the same time, my neurodivergent ass won’t let me for more than a couple weeks at a time, and then I’m burnt out for months on end. It’s extremely frustrating. I’ve heard it gets easier the longer you do it consistently, even for ND folks, but I haven’t been able to get to that point. If you have any advice I’d love to hear it.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•Google confirms more ads on your paid YouTube Premium Lite soonEnglish2·6 天前In case anyone is reading this and using an iPhone, Orion is the only iOS browser afaik to currently support uBlock Origin. I haven’t had a single ad since discovering that. Picture in Picture mode works too, as long as you go full screen with the video before swiping home. Hope this helps someone.

Good to know about Xenia on Linux. I’m looking into switching away from windows soon, so that’s useful information. I’ll be sure to check out Xenia on Linux when I end up switching.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksOPMto Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?3·6 天前I have very strong memories of that game for some reason. I replayed it last year and had a huge wave of nostalgia for some reason, far more than any other games I had played at that time.
The whole series is great, especially the first two. I kind of want to go back and replay them again now.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto Games@lemmy.world•The first weekly What Are You Playing? thread!English4·8 天前I’m just teasing. I thought it was funny it’s on the same day I do for my community, also a gaming community. I’m curious if it’ll affect my numbers (up or down). Keep it up!
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto Games@lemmy.world•The first weekly What Are You Playing? thread!English3·8 天前Hey! Quit stealing my ideas!
Just kidding. Looking forward to see where this goes.
(Not sure if you actually stole it but I’ve been doing it in [email protected] for a while now)
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksOPMto Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?4·8 天前I’m a huge fan of the Portal games but never played any Talos Principle. I’ve had them on my Wishlist for a while now, maybe I’ll pick them up on the next sale.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Linux user share hits a multi-year high on Steam for May 2025English1·8 天前Good to know. Thanks. I’ll look into that one.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Linux user share hits a multi-year high on Steam for May 2025English2·8 天前I appreciate the write up! I’ll refer to your comment the next time I’m at my PC and give it a shot. Thanks again.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Linux user share hits a multi-year high on Steam for May 2025English4·9 天前Thanks for this, I’ll look into it. I don’t have easy access to an old laptop right now, so I’ll have to do one of the options you mentioned. I think I’ll look into the USB option first and see if it’s something I can figure out. If not then I’ll try the virtual machine. I appreciate the added info.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Linux user share hits a multi-year high on Steam for May 2025English5·9 天前I’ve been considering doing the same recently for the reasons you listed but I’m fairly technologically stunted. How did the process go for you? How smooth was the transition? I’m fed up with windows and need a change but I’m not tech savvy at all.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto Games@lemmy.world•Elden Ring Nightreign’s Massive Steam Launch Tarnished by 'Mixed' User Reviews Over Lack of Duos Co-Op, Voice ChatEnglish3·13 天前I was one of the ones to test this game back in March I think, I thought it was a lot of fun. And at that point there were only three classes and one final boss. I only played with randoms, as none of my friends got the invite. I’ll be picking this game up at some point for sure, maybe when it first goes on sale.
Love me some Stan Rogers. Top tier Canadian music. A shame he died so young.
I’ll ask my wife.
Well it got closed up right after this picture
Thanks. I did a barebones version, just sour cream, lime juice, lime zest, and a pinch of salt. I think normally you’re supposed to add garlic, but my wife is pregnant right now and instead of cravings, she gets food aversions, one of which is garlic. She can handle a little bit but not a lot. Since there was already garlic in the filling, I didn’t add any to the crema.
I’m aware this probably isn’t the most appetizing to look at, definitely not foodporn worthy, but it tastes amazing. Highly recommended.
BurntWits@sh.itjust.worksto Games@lemmy.world•Elden Ring's player engagement is through the roof: 45% of its Steam players have played for 100+ hoursEnglish10·18 天前In my opinion I think the most important thing is to figure out what kind of weapon you want to use. Whenever I play a Souls game I gravitate towards the biggest sword I can get (which is great for Elden Ring because you can get the best massive sword in the base game right at the start if you know where to go, without killing a single enemy). Lots of beginners tend towards dexterity weapons such as katanas. Rivers of blood and moonveil used to be the meta builds, but even after several nerfs they’re still very good. Magic can be ridiculously overpowered but I find it to be the least fun, at least for me.
Increasing HP early on is very important. Level up enough to have minimum stats for whatever gear you want, then level vigor exclusively until at least 30. Even then, continue to level it up occasionally. I think 60 is the soft cap where after that the levels have diminishing returns, so end goal should be 60 vigor.
I’ve got lots of hours in the game and got all achievements on multiple accounts so feel free to ask any more questions you have.
Me too. I want to find the Dino and say I’m their biggest fan
